| Camera Description |
Cape Town is the famously beautiful port city perched on the south western tip of South Africa. This travel webcam shows fabulous views of this prime tourist destination, with great cam shots of the world famous Table Mountain. This is often wreathed in an brilliant white steaming cloud, so is known as the 'Tablecloth'! The webcam is located on the seafront, and shows cruise boats and yachts plying their way in and out the harbour. Both an old and new city, the panorama from the live cams run over the shining towers of down town, with the awe-inspiring new stadium, built especially for the world cup in 2010, prominent in the live webcam views.
The beaches of Cape Town are unique in that they are split between two oceans; the Atlantic beaches are cooler than the warm Indian Ocean beaches. The climate is generally dry and warm, but parts of Cape Town can be very wet, so it's advisable to use our weather cam to check local conditions. |
