The biggest city in Romandie, the French-speaking region of Swizterland, Geneva lies at the base of Lake Geneva, as it pours out into the Rhone River. The webcam here is right opposite the fabulous fountain Jet D'Eau, in the middle of Lake Geneva. The live webcam views stretch along the southern shore of Lake Geneva, where the city displays it's tasteful low-rise architecture, against the rugged hills of Mont Saleve. Geneva is a major international finance centre, home to numerous banks, but also to many international organisations, attracted by Switzerland's long standing neutrality. But tourists are also drawn to this pretty city, and Mont Blanc is close by- it can occasionally be seen peeping out from the surrounding mountains by our travel webcam.
